The relative small flowered Ophrys holoserica s.l. which is at least occurring between Liguria and Emilia Romagna in Italy, has been described as Ophrys holoserica subsp. lorenae in Jour.Eur.Orch. 34 (3): 592 (2002). However most probably there is also an older name available for this wide spread clan of Ophrys holoserica s.l.
There are colleagues, who think that Ophrys holoserica subsp. lorenae is identical with Ophrys annae. Some assume, that also Ophrys untchjii from Istria belongs to the same species, and this name is much older than the two others.
