Ornithogalum collinum hat nur einen kurzen oberirdischen Schaft (Stängel unterhalb des Blütenstands), bei manchen Pflanzen ist der ganze Schaft unterirdisch. Der Fruchtknoten ist klein und kantig. Die Blätter sind nur 2 bis 5 mm breit mit einem weißen Mittelstreifen, teils sind sie ganzrandig, teils rau oder kurzhaarig am Rand. Leider sind die Blätter an trockenen Standorten zur Blütezeit bereits verwelkt. Ornithogalum collinum ist näher mit Ornithogalum exscapum und Ornithogalum gussonei verwandt als mit den Milchsternen des Ornithogalum umbellatum agg. Ornithogalum collinum has only a short scape (stem below the inflorescence) above the ground, in some plants the whole scape is subterranean. The ovary is small and angular. The leaves are only 2 to 5 mm wide with a white central stripe, some have entire edges, some are rough or have short hairs at the edges.
