In Ber. Arbeitskrs. Heim. Orchid. 35 (1) 2018 beschrieb Wolfram FOELSCHE die neue Nigritella graciliflora vom Trenchtling, deren Unterscheidungsmerkmale zu Nigritella bicolor besonders schmale Lippen und etwas längere seitliche Sepalen sind. Wie die meisten ostalpinen Kohlröschen ist sie apomiktisch und vermehrt sich asexuell. Ich sah eine kleine Population von wenigen Quadratmetern, während bereits einige -zig Meter entfernt stehende rote Nigritellen normal breite Lippen besaßen und somit als Nigritella bicolor zu bezeichnen sind. Der Artrang scheint mir für diese Varietät zu hoch gegriffen.

The separating attributes to Nigritella bicolor are narrow lip and somewhat longer lateral petals. As most Eastern Alpine Nigritella it is apomictic and propagates asexually. I saw a small population of few square meters, while some ten meters further growing red Nigritella had normal wide lips, and therefore are to be called Nigritella bicolor. To me the species rank of Nigritella graciliflora seems too high for this variety.
