The blue-white blossom color of this violet, which remembers at watercolor paintings, carry the name forma variegata BOGENH. or var. variegata GREG. I couldn't find out yet whether this is a heritable genetic mutation, or whether it's the result of a virus or fungal disease. Viola hirta has narrow stipules with few cilia. | ||
