Taraxacum: | Persian plant name
The plants from Birkenheide and possibly those from Hanhofen, too, belong to the Taraxacum sect. Celtica, the Moor Dandelions. They can be found in Palatinate in various places. WEINGART, whose herbarium is kept at Pollichia, knew the species and gave it the provisional name Taraxacum enicoeum. There are also botanists who consider these plants to be identical with a Moor Dandelion described from the Netherlands, but this seems not yet sufficiently researched.
