Digitaria ciliaris ist ein Gras aus den Asien, das aber in große Teile der Welt verschleppt wurde, besonders in den Tropen und Subtropen. Bis vor wenigen Jahren gab es in Deutschland nur sporadische Funde, doch seit etwa 2008 gab es vermehrt Funde in der Schweiz, und inzwischen auch auf Ödland und in Maisfeldern in der Oberrheinischen Tiefebene in Südwestdeutschland. Digitaria ciliaris is a grass native to Asia but has been introduced to large parts of the world, particularly in the tropics and subtropics. Until a few years ago there were only sporadic finds in Germany, but since about 2008 there have been more finds in Switzerland, and now also on wasteland and in corn fields in the Upper Rhine Valley in Southwest Germany.
