The small-leaved Chenopodium striatiforme is a specialist of sandy grassland, xeric grassland and frail wasteland, it occurs mainly in the valleys of Rhine and Main in Germany. The red striped branches are coming out of the shoot horizontally and are then ascending. In Central Europe the plant is usually annual, but the high forms photographed 16.9.2018 might be specimens which survived the previous mild winter. | ||
