Die Öffnung der Serapias-Blüten erscheint Wildbienen
als kleine Höhle, die zum Übernachten geeignet ist.
Doch wenn das Insekt in der Blüte Pollinien an den Kopf geklebt bekommt,
wird es gewöhnlich fliehen. Wenn es später in einer anderen Blüte Ruhe findet,
kann die Bestäubung dieser Orchidee erfolgen.

For solitary bees the opening of Serapias blooms looks like a small cave,
suitable as accomodation for the night. But if the insect in the bloom
gets pollines colled at its head, it will usually fly away. When it later finds peace
in another Serapias bloom, the pollination of this orchid can take place.
