At Mannheim-Kirschgartshausen this Michaelmas Daisy is growing directly beneath Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, but it is completely withered when the latter is in flower. In principle it looks as Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, but it is clearly smaller flowered, its calyx has only the half diameter of that of Symphyotrichum lanceolatum. It has also smaller leaves. |
