Onobrychis aequidentata ist zwischen Italien und dem Nahen Osten verbreitet. Sie ist großblütig (10 - 14 mm), und der Blütenstand sitzt auf einem auffälligen, langen und behaarten Stiel. Ihre Früchte haben einen Rand von mehreren breit-dreieckigen 'Stacheln', was sie von denen der ähnlichen Arten Onobrychis caput-galli und Onobrychis crista-galli unterscheidet. Die ebenfalls weit verbreitete Onobrychis caput-galli ist kleinblütiger als Onobrychis aequidentata mit kurzem Blütenstiel.

Onobrychis aequidentata is distributed between Italy and the Middle East. It has large flowers (10 - 14 mm) and the inflorescence sits on a showy, long and hairy stalk. Their fruits are bordered by several broad triangular 'spikes', distinguishing them from those of the similar species Onobrychis caput-galli and Onobrychis crista-galli. The also widespread Onobrychis caput-galli is smaller-flowered than Onobrychis aequidentata with a short flower stalk.
