| Erigeron acris L. subsp. acris | ||
| Fam.: Asteraceae / Composite Fam.
|
| Synon.: Erigeron acer L. subsp. acer |
| Genus: Erigeron L. |
As at Erigeron muralis, the ray florets of Erigeron acris subsp. acris are somewhat longer than the disc florets, the lower stem leaves are spatulate and entire. A distinguishing difference is that sterile short shoots are sprouting out of the leaf axles of Erigeron muralis, which is not the case in Erigeron acris subsp. acris. Erigeron muralis has often dark red stems, while those of Erigeron acris subsp. acris are green, probably tinged reddish. Moreover the stem leaves of Erigeron muralis are often wavy and distorted, which is usually not the case in Erigeron acris subsp. acris. |
