Alyssum troodii ist ein Endemit der höheren Lagen im Troodos-Gebirge. Die Blüten sind gelb, und die grünen Teile von einer weißlichen Behaarung bedeckt. Es gibt im Troodos noch eine ähnliche Art, das auch in der benachbarten Türkei vorkommende Alyssum cypricum NYAR., das sich durch mehrfach verzweigte Blütenstände, schmalere Blätter und eine behaarte Samenkapsel unterscheidet.

Alyssum troodii is endemic to higher elevations of the Troodos Mountains. The flowers are yellow, and the green parts are covered with whitish pilosity. There is another similar species in the Troodos, Alyssum cypricum NYAR., which also occurs in neighboring Turkey. Alyssum cypricum differs in multiply branched inflorescences, narrower leaves, and hairy seed capsules.
