Auf der Ludwigshafener Parkinsel gibt es alte Mischbestände der Zierpflanze Hybrid-Sternhyazinthe Scilla luciliae x siehei und des wild wachsenden Zweiblättrigen Blausterns Scilla bifolia. Die Hybrid-Sternhyazinthe und ihre Eltern wurden früher unter der Gattung Chionodoxa geführt. Vereinzelt treten dort auch die gezeigten Hybriden zwischen den beiden Sippen auf. Sie sind an der verwaschen hellen Mitte der Blüte und vor allem an der intermediären Farbe und Stellung der Staubgefäße zu erkennen, denn die Staubgefäße der ehemaligen Chionodoxa sind gelblich und stehen senkrecht, während die dunklen Staubgefäße von Scilla bifolia waagerecht angeordnet sind.

On the Ludwigshafen Park-Insel there are old mixed populations of the ornamental Hybrid Glory of the Snow Scilla luciliae x siehei and the wild Alpine Squill Scilla bifolia. The Hybrid Glory of the Snow and its parents had formerly been separated in genus Chionodoxa. Also the shown hybrids between the two clans can be found there. They can be recognized by the faded bright center of the flower and especially by the intermediate color and position of the stamens, because the stamens of the former Chionodoxa are yellowish and are standing vertically, while the dark stamens of Scilla bifolia are arranged horizontally.
