Dies ist eine der Weichen Trespe Bromus hordaceus und der Mediterranen Flaum-Trespe Bromus mediterraneus nahestehende, noch unbeschriebene Sippe, bei der die Ährchen komplett oder abschnittsweise gehäuft stehen. Zumindest in Nordrhein-Westfalen bildet sie eigene kleine Populationen, die später blühen als die oben genannten Arten. Bomble will sie bald als Art beschreiben zu Ehren des kürzlich verstorbenen Berliner Botanikers Hildemar Wolfgang Scholz, der sie kannte und als eine zu Bromus mediterraneus gehörende Form ansah.

This is a yet undescribed clan close to Soft Brome Bromus hordaceus and Mediterranean Brome Bromus mediterraneus, of which the spikelets are standing completely or partly cumulative. At least in Northrhine-Westphalia it forms own small populations which are later in flower than the two species mentioned above. Bomble is going to describe it as a species, in honor of the Berlin botanist Hildemar Wolfgang Scholz who died recently and who knew the clan and considered it as a form belonging to Bromus mediterraneus.
