An der von der BVNH (Botanische Vereinigung für Naturschutz in Hessen) angegebenen Stelle in der Hochspannungs-Schneise im Wald westlich des Frankfurter Flughafens fand ich im Juli diese kleinen Sträucher mit dicht stehenden Trieben und behaarten Hülsen, die etwa 3 bis 4 mal so lang wie breit sind, vor. Was ich nicht sah, sind die dunklen kurzen Stieldrüsen auf den Hülsen, die für Adenocarpus typisch sind, und von denen man einige wenige Bilder im Internet finden kann. Statt dessen waren die Früchte mehr oder weniger stark behaart. Dieser Drüsenginster, der möglicherweise einer Garten-Verwilderung entstammt, wurde von der BVNH nach dem Schlüssel in der 'Flora Europaea' als Adenocarpus complicatus subsp. complicatus bestimmt. Dieser Schlüssel enthält aber nur vier europäische Drüsenginster-Arten. Die Gattung enthält insgesamt etwa 15 Arten, von denen nicht alle in Europa, sondern manche in Afrika oder auf Inseln im Atlantik wachsen. Aus den oben genannten Gründen bin ich also nicht sicher, ob es sich bei den Pflanzen bei Frankfurt wirklich um Adenocarpus complicatus handelt.

At the location indicated by the BVNH (Botanische Vereinigung für Naturschutz in Hessen, i.e. Botanical Association for Nature Conservation in Hesse) in the high-voltage corridor in the forest West of Frankfurt Airport I found in July these small shrubs with densely standing shoots and hairy pods; the pods are about 3 to 4 times as long as they are wide. What I didn't see were the dark short stalked glands on the pods, which are typical for Adenocarpus, and of which a few photos can be found in the internet. Instead, the fruits were more or less hairy. This Flatpod, which perhaps run wild from a garden, was identified by the BVNH as Adenocarpus complicatus subsp. complicatus according to the key in 'Flora Europaea'. This key, however, contains only four European Adenocarpus species. The genus consists of about 15 species in total, not all of which grow in Europe, but some in Africa or on islands in the Atlantic Ocean. For the reasons stated above, I'm not sure whether the plants near Frankfurt are really Adenocarpus complicatus.
