Auf der Suche nach Pollen tauchte der Gefleckte Schmalbock Stranglia maculata tief in die Blüten der Epipactis atrorubens ein. An seinem Kopf waren schon mehrere Pollenpakete angeklebt.

The beetle Stranglia maculata dived deep into the blooms of Epipactis atrorubens in order to get some pollen. Several pollines were already colled at its head.

Im Gegensatz zum Schmalbock krabbelte der männliche Schenkelkäfer Oedemera virescens eher planlos auf dem Blütenstand umher. Ich halte den kleinen Käfer nicht für einen regelmäßigen Bestäuber von Epipactis atrorubens.

Zwei Dunkle Erdhummeln Bombus terrestris untersuchen jede einzelne Blüte von Epipactis atrorubens. Auch eine Honigbiene verhielt sich so.

Two Bombus terrestris are investigating every single bloom of Epipactis atrorubens. Also a honey bee acted this way.
