Bestäuber Argogorytes mystaceus auf Ophrys insectifera. Die Wespe kreiste suchend im Bereich der Ophrys-Pflanzen, dann setzte sie sich ruckartig auf eine Blüte. Die Pollinien dieser Blüte waren schon vorher entnommen worden. Wohl auch wegen des kühlen und zum Teil windigen Wetters blieb die Wespe minutenlang sitzen, und machte dabei immer wieder verschiedene Bewegungen, hauptsächlich mit dem Hinterleib. Auf den Bildern sieht man das ausgefahrene Kopulationsorgan am Hinterleib des Wespen-Männchens.

Pollinating wasp Argogorytes mystaceus on Ophrys insectifera. The wasp flew slowly in the area of the Ophrys plants, then suddenly it sat down on a flower. The pollines of that flower had already been taken away before that. Probably also because of the cool and partly windy weather the wasp stayed for several minutes. Several times it moved parts of its body, mainly the abdomen. The copulation organ at the abdomen of the male wasp is visible on the images.
