Der Artname des Taraxacum plumbeum kommt von der Eigenschaft, dass der Innenkelch im unteren Teil bleigrau überlaufen ist. Bei den im Frühjahr aufgenommenen Fotos Fig. 9, 10, 14, 15, 19, 28, 30, 38 und 40 ist dies zwar vorhanden, aber kaum zu sehen, doch bei den im Herbst aufgenommenen Fotos Fig. 45 bis 47 ist es auffällig. Die Früchte von Taraxacum plumbeum sind in der Oberrheinebene braun, in anderen Regionen auch ziegelrot.

In the photos Fig. 9, 10, 14, 15, 19, 28, 30, 38, and 40 taken in spring, this is present but hardly visible, but in the photos Fig. 45 to 47 taken in autumn it is striking. The fruits of Taraxacum plumbeum are brown in the Upper Rhine Valley, in other regions also brick-red.
