According to 'Vascular Plants of Greece - An annotated Checklist', in North Pindus in north-west Greece, where the mountain Timfi is located, only two species of the Scilla bifolia aggregate are available: Scilla reuteri and Scilla subnivalis. The two species are morphologically so similar that I couldn't decide of which of the two I took photos. They differ mainly in the ploidy level. SPETA described Scilla reuteri in 'The Spring Flowering Scilla Species of the Eastern Mediterranean' (1980), and also provides information on Scilla subnivalis. | ||
