ENNO SCHUBERT found this bramble in his botanical mapping region, the Weschnitz valley in the West of the Odenwald, several times. According to its occurrence in the region 'Juchhoeh Odenwald' he named it with the provisional working name 'Juchhöh bramble'. Most probably it is only a regional clan which doesn't occur in a region which is big enough to become described officially as species.
In addition to 54 Rubus species with a supraregional or regional distribution area of 50 km or more, which are or will be described as species, ENNO SCHUBERT found in his mapping area, the about 70 km long upper part of the Weschnitz east of Weinheim, also 7 clans which he found multiply, but of which currently only a smaller regional distribution area is known. The shown bramble is one of the latter ones.
