Oenothera depressa ist eine hochwüchsige Nachtkerze, deren sämtliche grüne Teile von einer samtigen weißlichen Behaarung überzogen sind. Die Blüten der Art sind oft kleistogam, und öffnen sich gar nicht, solche Knospen sind meist lachsrosa gestreift, die wenigen sich öffnenden Knospen sind oft nur grün. Die Blätter haben weißliche Nerven, sind relativ breit und oft in sich gedreht. Es handelt sich um eine aus Amerika eingebrachte Art. Oenothera depressa is a tall growing Evening Primrose. All green parts are covered with a fine whitish pilosity. The blowwoms of this species are often cleistogamous and don't open at all, those buds have usually salmon pink stripes, those which are opening are often only green. The leaves have white nerves, are relative wide and often turned within themselves. The species has been introduced from America. | ||
