The Flora Europaea sees this plant as one species whose variability can't be separated geographically into species or subspecies. But the French internet sites TelaBotanica and PhotoFlora are managing the two species Hedypnois cretica (procumbent plants) and Hedypnois rhagadioloides (higher, ususaly erectly growing plants) separately, which both occur in Southern France. | ||
