Etymology:
   Dichondra:   two cartilages (two carpels grown together)
   repens:   creeping
 

Dichondra repens originates from Australia and New Zealand. Here in Europe the plant is used as low staying substitute for lawn. It has unobtrusive small white five-fold blossoms, but it is said to be very lazy to flower here.
