This Crocus with the name according to the mountain 'Welucho' in the Timfristos mountain range in the Southern Pindhos is available on many higher mountains of the Balcan peninsula. The species is assumed to be of hybridogenous origin between Crocus vernus subsp. albiflorus und Crocus heuffelianus. | ||
