Because of a confusion going back to Linné's times in the 18th century, Crepis pyrenaica (L.) GREUTER and Crepis blattarioides (L.) VILL. had to change their names in recent years, the problem was corrected by the Spanish botanists TALAVERA et al. in an article in Taxon 63 (5): 1124 - 1129 (2014). Crepis blattarioides is already the new name of the species shown, the most important attribute of which is that the inner and outer bracts are of about the same length, the outer ones are distant. In Crepis pyrenaica, the outer bracts are much shorter than the inner ones, and tight. | ||
