Der Kleinblättrige Gänsefuß Chenopodium striatiforme ist ein Spezialist von Sandrasen, Magerrasen und lockerem Ödland, und kommt hauptsächlich im Rhein- und Maintal in Süddeutschland vor. Die rot gestreiften Zweige entspringen dem Spross liegend und steigen dann auf. Die Pflanze gilt in Mitteleuropa als einjährig, doch die hohen Formen vom 16.9.2018 dürften Exemplare sein, die den vorigen milden Winter überlebt haben.

The small-leaved Chenopodium striatiforme is a specialist of sandy grassland, xeric grassland and frail wasteland, it occurs mainly in the valleys of Rhine and Main in Germany. The red striped branches are coming out of the shoot horizontally and are then ascending. In Central Europe the plant is usually annual, but the high forms photographed 16.9.2018 might be specimens which survived the previous mild winter.
