Androsace adfinis has several subspecies. The nominate subspecies Androsace adfinis subsp. adfinis has white flowers and leaves about 3 mm wide, which are hairy and often toothed at the edge, while the leaves of the also white-flowered subspecies Androsace adfinis subsp. brigantiaca are only up to 2 mm narrow, hairless and untoothed. There are transition forms, e.g. in the last pictures Fig. 5 to 8 from Col de la Bonette, where the leaves are wide, but only a little downy and untoothed at the edge. | ||
