eptapigiensis:   from Epta Piges ( = seven sources, Rhodes)

Ophrys eptapigiensis, which was described by Prof. Paulus in 2001 in Ber.Arbeitskrs.Heim.Orchid. 18 (1): 38-86, is not rare in the woods in the center of Rhodes. It is in flower by end of march. It is currently not clear, whether similar orchids, which are in flower in the second half of april and in may, belong to the same species.
