In the Ophrys chapter of the book 'Die Orchideen Deutschlands' (2005) Helmut BAUMANN demonstrated that
Ophrys apifera var. friburgensis is an older and therefore priority name for the so far
Ophrys apifera var. botteronii called Bee Orchid with dissolved drawing on the lip (and also sepal-like petals) shown here.
